Summer may be over but that doesn’t mean no more movies under the stars.

The Queens World Film Festival presents an evening of short films from around the globe at its International Short Stack event on Saturday, Oct. 19.

Animated and narrative films from such far away places as Bangladesh, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Belgium and Brooklyn are on the bill for that night.

Films include “The Mutant Chicken,” “Drat,” “Baby I Love You,” “Awful,” “Lonely Eros,” “Swing,” “Andrew: Story of a Closest Monster” and “Eclipse of Taregna.”

Bring a chair and snacks to Diversity Plaza, the pedestrian mall on 37th Road between 73rd and 74th streets, in Jackson Heights on Saturday, Oct. 19. The show begins at 6:30 p.m.

The event is free and open to all.

  1. Thank you for the support!!!! We went there last night to scope out the location and we got so excited because this venue will bring a whole new audience to these films. That makes everything worth it.
