You hear them always telling young authors to “write what you know.”
And Forest Hills native Michael Brody has done just that with his semi-autobiographical comedy-drama “Survey,” playing at the LaGuardia Performing Arts Center Feb. 7.
“Survey” is about a guy, who after being dumped again decides to visit all he’s exes to see what went wrong. Michael acknowledges he is the guy and, just like the character, he must learn how to listen to the women in his life.
Michael had some success last year with an earlier version of the play, but is back with a new production extensively rewritten.
Although the show is booked for only one night at LaGuardia, Michael hopes that’s not the end of the story.
