If it’s summer in Queens, then it’s time for Hip to Hip Theatre Co. to entertain us with works from the Bard.

Beginning Wednesday, July 22, through Thursday, Aug. 13, this group of merrymakers will present its ninth season of free productions of “The Merchant of Venice” and “The Merry Wives of Windsor” in parks throughout the borough.

This year’s schedule also includes a stop in The Bronx, as well as the company’s first appearance in the New York Fringe Festival, Aug. 19, 20 and 26 in Manhattan’s Tompkins Square Park.
